Overview:

Excellent driving career with great benefits and no nights/weekends! The CDL Furniture Driver Will make furniture deliveries to customers with a focus on timeliness and customer service.

For candidates based in New York State, this position’s starting hourly range typically pays between $19 - $24.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Makes timely deliveries to customers.
• Places, assembles and/or installs furniture to customer specifications.
• Develops and maintains outstanding working relationships with customers.
• Plans and carries out daily route to ensure that all deliveries are made.
• Communicates issues to supervisory in a timely manner.
• Drives safely and maintains valid driver’s license.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May be exposed to varying weather conditions
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle
• Follow all FMCSA, DOT, traffic laws and regulations at all times

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Outstanding communication skills with an ability to converse, read and write in English
• Must be able to work as a team and independently
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• CDL license required
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
• Experience with basic furniture assembly
• Must be able to work independently and manage time appropriately to meet deadlines.

Education and/or Experience

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• License Required: Class A or B
• 1+ year of CDL Truck Driving Experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to alternate positions frequently, stand, walk, sit, and descend from a vehicle, communicate/be able to understand information and ideas, speak, hear, and observe details at both close and far ranges. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. This job requires frequent use of material handling equipment.
