A Day in the Life of a Thermoforming Engineering Supervisor

Welcome to your new role at Pactiv Evergreen Inc.! Coordinating daily operations in the bustling Covington plant, you'll be crucial in elevating equipment processes like extrusion and thermoforming. Imagine leading about 30 enthusiastic employees, driving innovations, and continuously working towards efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Enhancing Covington Manufacturing processes through expert engineering support.
• Guiding and supervising an adept team of around 7 members.
• Pioneering process improvement initiatives in Extrusion and Thermoforming.
• Solving manufacturing challenges with technical operations support.
• Collaborating with the Leadership Team for OEE and Quality improvement.
• Overseeing capital budget management and advancing the team's technical skills.
• Leading CAR development and coordinating capital activities.
• Striving to achieve excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP).
• Managing and providing oversight for Changeover teams.
• Addressing safety concerns and guiding safety-related investigations.
• Implementing Plan, Do, Check, and Adjust (PDCA) methodology for MDI.
• Ideating for annual plant operational enhancements.
• Utilizing Kaizen for continuous process improvements.
• Deciding based on robust operational data.
• Conducting and following up on layered audits.
• Providing engineering support for plant production and equipment maintenance.
• Supporting the maintenance department as needed.

**Required Expertise**

• Bachelor’s in Engineering is highly advantageous.
• Fluency in multiple languages is a bonus.
• At least 5 years in technical and managerial roles at a plant, with a keen focus on safety.
• Proficiency in Lean Methodologies or Continuous Process Improvement is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Foam extrusion and thermoforming.
• Results-driven with high energy levels and a distaste for the status quo; committed to change.
• Strong collaborative skills in dynamic settings.
• ACAD skills are a plus.
• Strong within standard packages like Excel for analytics.

You should bring proficiency in:

• Bachelor's Degree
• CAD/CAM Software
• Blueprint Reading
