Summary The Teacher's Aide within the Resiliency Center primarily supports the Teacher, Head Teacher, and Center Coordinator by contributing to a caring and safe atmosphere for children aged six weeks to three years old. The focus of the Teacher's Aide is to help implement evidence-based, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate activities that foster secure attachment, bonding, and the children's overall well-being. The Teacher's Aide plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the classroom, helping maintain a healthy learning environment, and aiding in the smooth transition of children from home to the center. ?
Duties � Assist the Teacher and Head Teacher in implementing curricula activities and encouraging active participation from children.
� Support classroom management by helping maintain cleanliness, organization, and availability of classroom materials.
� Actively engage with children during activities, helping to model positive behaviors and promote self-help skills.
� Assist center staff with ensuring a smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center.
� Assist in monitoring and documenting children's progress, relaying relevant information to the Teacher or Head Teacher.
� Follow all center policies, state regulations, and guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: � A typical workday for this employee includes sitting, standing, keyboarding, and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
� This employee will have possible exposure to clients with potentially communicable diseases.
� This employee in this position has access to client specific information and client charts, which requires completion of full HIPPA training.
� Per OSHA Standards, this position is classified as Category 1. This employee may have exposure to blood borne pathogens.

Requirements � Energetic and enthusiastic personality with a genuine interest in child development.
� Ability to build positive and effective working relationships with children, parents, and staff.
� Strong oral communication skills; basic written communication skills.
� Basic computer literacy to assist in maintaining records and documentation.
� Knowledge or willingness to learn about child development and trauma-informed care practices.
� Must be able to clear a full background check and pass the required health screening.
� Must be able to easily get down and up off the ground to engage with children at their physical level.
- Must participate in all required continuing Education annually
Education and Experience: � Must have a High School Diploma or GED
� Child Development Associate (CDA) or 6 hours of ECE credit is preferred
� Minimum of one to two years experience in professional childcare is preferred
