The University of Nevada, Reno, Office of the Provost, is recruiting for a Specialist/Coordinator, Communications. The Specialist, Communications, is responsible for developing and creating communications and implementing marketing plans that support the strategic goals of the University of Nevada’s Office of the Provost. While the position covers the University at large, there is an emphasis on the Lake Tahoe campus. The position coordinates and creates website communications, graphic design and branding, social media messaging, and other digital products such as photo, video, and audio content.
The Coordinator, Marketing Communications is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications plans that support the strategic goals and initiatives of the Office of the Provost, including but not limited to the University of Nevada at Lake Tahoe. The position coordinates web communications, print and other marketing services.
Both positions and serve as a liaison between the University of Nevada at Lake Tahoe and other University units. They work closely with and follow the direction set by the University’s Office of Marketing and Communications to align with the overall marketing strategy and priorities of the University. The positions function as a partnership between University of Nevada’s Central Marketing and Communications office, the University of Nevada at Lake Tahoe office, communications specialists across the colleges within the University of Nevada, but reports directly to the Director, Marketing and Communications for the Office of the Provost.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Design, develop and distribute high-quality, image-enhancing promotional materials such as brochures, presentation folders and any other materials which reflect the programs
Develop, formalize, and execute a marketing plans for the Office of the Provost and its constituent units in line with the marketing strategy of the University, as established by the Office of Marketing and Communications; analyze and assess the effectiveness of messages, collateral, and distribution channels and revise strategies as needed
Coordinate, write, and print calendars, monthly e-newsletters, and/or science-based magazines and publications

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and one year of related work experience.
