Department: COM | IDHI Video Conferencing
Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: Responsible for supporting and monitoring technologies provided by the UAMS IDHI. Environments include but are not limited to: Networking equipment/software from Brocade, HP, Juniper, Cisco, Meraki, and others. Video and Collaboration infrastructure from Cisco, Polycom, Acano, PexIP, Zoom, and more. Telemedicine Peripheral devices, such as USB and Wireless exam cameras, specialty scopes and optics, live streaming stethoscopes. RPM (remote patient monitoring) devices and software from many different manufactures. Responsible for working with all areas of UAMS IT, UAMS IDHI, and all UAMS e-Link member sites to ensure maximum service uptime. Keeps up-to-date on emerging technologies that would benefit the UAMS IDHI Programs and compliment UAMS’ mission/goals. This position participates in a group, 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year on-call rotation where each member of the group takes call for 1 week at a time.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Education, general: High School Diploma
Education, special or professional: Information Technology or related field of study
Experience, length in years and kind: Four years IT experience with 1 year experience in Video Conferencing equipment support (Polycom, Cisco, Acano, PEXIP, RadVision, etc.)
Licenses, certificates, or registration: Employee must complete the following UAMS training, certification, and/or course material over their first two (2) years in this position unless courses are not offer by UAMS during this period: Diversity Training, and Customer Service as available.
The following Vendor/Manufacturer training and/or course material will need to be completed over the first two (2) years in this position unless courses are not offered by UAMS and/or vendor/manufacturer during this period: Helpdesk Essentials, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network, Cisco CCID, Cisco CIVND, and Cisco Meeting App.
The following Vendor/Manufacturer Certifications will need to be completed over the first three (3) years in this position unless certifications are not offered by UAMS and/or vendor/manufacturer during this period: Cisco CCNA Collaboration
Preferred Qualifications Education, general: Bachelor’s Degree
Education, special or professional: Information Technology or related field of study
Experience, length in years and kind: Four years IT experience with 3 years’ experience in Video Conferencing equipment support (Polycom, Cisco, RadVision, etc.) or Network Engineering Equipment support (Brocade, Cisco, HP, 3Com, Juniper, etc.).
Prefer hand on experience with Telehealth and Telemedicine technologies and an understanding of these processes and work flows.
Prefer previous IT project management experience. Previous experience with MS Office Tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint would be considered a plus.

Cisco CCNP, Brocade BCNE, CTS, Polycom University Certification, Other Vendor Training Courses
Special knowledge, abilities and skills: Essential Physical Requirements are bending, standing, walking, eyesight, hearing, driving, speaking and repetitious movement. Lifting, weight lifted 50 lbs. Lift to: waist, 50 lbs. chest, 50 lbs. above head 20 lbs.
