Job Description: The Regional Admissions Recruiter works as a member of the admissions team to recruit prospective students for Manhattanville University's undergraduate programs. The Regional Admissions Recruiter will develop relationships with high school guidance counselors and teachers, they will participate in high school visits and University fairs, attend professional development opportunities, and they will be assigned to specific travel territories for extensive recruitment throughout the fall and spring.
This position is a remote position, with the candidate residing in Connecticut. The candidate will be expected to come to Manhattanville University campus for specific and clearly outlined recruitment events.
Supervisory Responsibilities: • None
Duties/Responsibilities: • Assist prospective students with the submission of application documents
• Complete initial application reviews as a member of the first-year applicant admission committee
• Work closely with members of the financial aid team in order to explain pertinent information to families applying for need and merit-based financial aid.
• Extensive travel: 12-15 weeks in the fall and 6-8 weeks in the spring with in the assigned geographic territory.
•Flexibility and willingness to travel long distance
• Availability to work some evenings and weekends is a must
• Ability to come to Manhattanville University for special events including but not limited to Open Houses, Admitted students days, other on campus recruitment events.
• Participate in professional organizations and professional development opportunities to maintain current trends in University admissions
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director and/or Director of Undergraduate Admissions
• Other responsibilities include a strong knowledge and understanding of social media applications, interviewing prospective students, working with families who are navigating the University search process, and participation in campus recruitment events.
Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Occasional evening and weekend work
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable and unlimited access to a vehicle
• Able to be an agent of change in a rapidly changing environment.
• Proven ability to analyze data to identify trends and drive innovation within the related field.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelors Degree.
Experience: Preference will be given in the evaluation process to candidates with prior experience working in an undergraduate admissions office.
Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
Salary: This is an exempt 10-month position. The annual salary for this position is $55,000.00 per year.
Hours Expectation: Full-time, 35 hours per week, 10 Months
Housing: Housing is not provided. This position is a remote position, with the candidate residing in Connecticut. The candidate will be expected to come to Manhattanville University campus for specific and clearly outlined recruitment events.
