Job Summary:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide execution leadership for high-priority, complex projects, ensuring they meet customer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This role involves managing scope, cost, schedule, and risk, while maintaining customer satisfaction and project profitability. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Manage a portfolio of high-visibility, complex projects. Serve as the primary point of contact for senior-level customer interactions and project teams.
- Scope and Cost Management: Estimate budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Lead pre-contract processes to define project scope, scheduling, and cost estimates.
- Risk Management: Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead root cause analysis with corrective action plans for project-related issues.
- Supplier Coordination: Interface with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to align project specifications. Develop and manage multiple contracts and subcontractor work scopes.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce quality procedures and ensure compliance with quality management systems. Facilitate project kickoff meetings, schedule reviews, and regular team meetings.
- Technical Support: Oversee installation, construction, start-up, and commissioning activities, ensuring safety procedures and quality standards are upheld.
- Process Development: Develop and maintain project execution processes and work instructions in alignment with ISO and client-specific procedures.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor"s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in project management, with demonstrated success managing complex projects in the energy sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Extensive understanding of gas and steam turbines, generators, and Balance of Plant (BOP) components. Familiarity with GE product lines, quality standards, and project management tools.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with project management tools and methodologies. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Education: Master"s degree (MBA, Engineering Management, or related field).
- Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Certification; Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Certification.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or SAP.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of industry standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
- Leadership Skills: Strong strategic thinking, adaptability, and stakeholder management capabilities.
