Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Manassas, Virginia

Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and implement robust network solutions to meet business needs.
Monitor and maintain network performance, reliability, and security across LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
Perform network troubleshooting and resolve connectivity issues promptly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network upgrades, migrations, and installations.
Manage and optimize network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
Conduct capacity planning and recommend system enhancements to ensure scalability.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and network topology.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices to improve network efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer.
Expertise in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and VLANs.
Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment.
Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and wireless technologies.
Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Nagios.
Familiarity with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications.
Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for network automation.
Experience with VoIP and QoS configuration.
