Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Remote Medical Coder to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

* Coding and Abstraction: Accurately assign appropriate ICD10CM and CPT codes to patient records ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.

* Chart Review: Thoroughly review medical records including physician notes lab results and imaging reports to identify relevant information for coding.

* Coding Accuracy and Efficiency: Maintain high levels of coding accuracy and productivity meeting established deadlines and quality standards.

* Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on the latest coding guidelines regulations and reimbursement policies to ensure compliance.

* Documentation Review: Identify documentation deficiencies and collaborate with providers to obtain necessary information for accurate coding.

* Coding Audits: Participate in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

* Data Entry: Accurately input coded data into the billing system ensuring timely and accurate claim submission.

Qualifications:

* Certification: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification required.

* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding preferably in a physician practice or hospital setting.

* Knowledge: Strong understanding of ICD10CM CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical coding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

* Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and coding.

* ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to analyze complex medical records and resolve coding issues independently.

* Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with providers and other healthcare professionals.
