Job Description

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their two youngest daughters, ages 3 years old and 5 months old. The family also has a 6-year-old daughter, but care for her will be very limited as she is in elementary school, and will attend after-school activities, and weekly summer camp. The Grandmother will help with transportation and will keep her on days she is out of school. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, and Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

The best nanny for this family would be reliable, active, fun, nurturing, and experienced caring for multiple children. The 3-year-old is in half-day pre-school 5 days a week until 1 pm; the nanny will be responsible for school pick up. Once the 3-year-old comes home from school, she will nap until at least 3:00 pm. Primary care will be for the 5-month-old. Each day, the nanny would be responsible for meeting her daily needs, keeping their daughter on her schedule and routine (Feeding, Changing, Napping, and playing), and fostering a nurturing environment.

The family is seeking a nanny who will be engaging and proactively come up with fun activities that will encourage their daughter to meet her goals and milestones as she grows. Throughout the day, the nanny is encouraged to read to their daughter, take her on strolls, play inside and outside, and engage in developmental activities. The family is looking for a nanny who will be creative in coming up with fun adventures throughout the community and go on outings such as the library, the playground, and other age-appropriate activities. Their 3-year-old daughter will be attending gymnastics and soccer once a week and will need to be transported to and from these activities. Montessori experience would be a plus. Both parents work from home in designated offices; the nanny should be comfortable with this and respect work-from-home boundaries.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Folding and putting away the children’s laundry

• Prepping the children’s food and feeding the children

• Washing children’s dishes and bottles

• Picking up all toys at the end of the day

• Occasional grocery runs

• Emptying diaper pail

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including TDAP, prior to starting the position.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts January 20th

• Legal pay is offered at $25-$30 an hour, depending on experience
