Assistant Graphic Designer - Part Time
Skechers is seeking a Assistant Graphic Designer to join the Apparel team. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller and a strong digital communicator. We are seeking someone who is highly detailed oriented as well as product and brand obsessed. In this role you will be supporting the Senior Graphic Designers with production tech packs and have the opportunity to create some custom graphics for Skechers apparel.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-
- Demonstrate the ability to take direction and then use creativity and imagination to develop original creative artwork.
- Manage multiple design projects in partnership with all cross-functional team members, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is communicated clearly.
- Work collaboratively with Design Leadership and respective team members to product brand relevant apparel graphics, prints, trims, etc. that reflect Skechers DNA and standards.
- Responsible for supporting the team through the entire graphic process from concept ideation, creation of original designs, development of tech packs, and providing strike off comments and solutions to development team.
- Follow brand standards and established graphic development process.
- Prepare print ready artwork for sizing and CAD files.
- Clearly communicate different artwork techniques in pitch sheets.
- Produce Design, Typography, and Layouts for Apparel.
- Actively researches trends, inspiration, print and graphic techniques. Compile seasonal graphic mood boards based on design concepts and keep team informed of any opportunities that seem relevant for the brand.

JOB REQUIREMENTS-
- Versatile in a wide range of graphic and illustration styles required.
- Strong understanding of print and embellishment techniques for apparel.
- Able to objectively critic and curate your own work with great attention to detail.
- Understanding of garment construction a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
- High level of initiative & self-motivated.
- Demonstrate flexibility/adaptability while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative culture.
- Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines and a self-starter.
- High attention to detail and excellent follow through.
- Ability to embrace diverse points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity.
- Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photo Shop skills are required.
- Computer proficiency; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), PLM (Product Life Management) system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-
- BA Degree from a college/university in the field of Graphic Design.
- Minimum 3-5+ Years experience in the Performance/ Active Apparel Industry.
The pay range for this position is $25-$30/hr.
